Group Camping at Trill Farm

We only book the whole of our campsite out to larger groups, so welcome schools, youth groups and large groups of friends & family. Our minimum is 10 people.

Our campsite is up a little hill with views over the countryside. Its well away from roads and the farmyard, leaving you free to relax and enjoy nature in peace.

The campsite facilities include two small open barns providing storage, shelter, cooking space and a place to eat at tables constructed using larch from our woods. Our rustic open air showers and sinks have solar heated water, pumped from our spring. The water ranges in temperature from hot to cold depending on the weather and how many people are using it! Our toilets are eco friendly, waterless composting loos.

We think fires are a fundamental part of camping, and we have a central fire pit, with plenty of logs from the woods on our farm. You can use the fire pit as a BBQ too, or bring your own, as long as they are kept off the grass.

We were picked as one of the Guardian's best family campsites in 2012 - see what they had to say about us here

We can offer a range of activities to fit in to your group’s programme including farm tours and trails, feeding the animals, gardening and cooking, workshops to explore the landscape and wildlife, crafts, bush-craft skills and an aerial woodland walkway and zip line.

Eating good food is an essential part of every holiday, and luckily our farm is well placed to supply you. When you book you can order a £10 box of veg & salad to be waiting for you on arrival. We can also add home reared lamb joints, chipolatas and spicy merguez sausages, along with eggs and preserves. You are welcome to help yourself to the abundant berries and fruits growing wild all over the farm.

The campsite is inaccessible by vehicles apart from 4x4s. We transport your gear up and back by arrangement - but do remember to pack light! There is a 10-minute walk from the campsite down to the farmyard, where you can leave your cars.

Camping is run by The Trill Trust.

Prices are £10 per night per adult, under 16s £6 per night, free for under 5s.
